Our mission is to enrich Jewish life and community on Martha's Vineyard by offering educational programs, cultural events, and traditional services, all infused with the warmth and joy of Judaism.

People of eclectic backgrounds come to Martha’s Vineyard to repose, reflect, and rejuvenate. They come to Chabad on the Vineyard for the same reasons.

We are founded on the principle that while Jews may embrace varying levels of observance and hold differing political beliefs, there should be a place for all—regardless of background, knowledge, or political and religious affiliation—to develop a sense of community and enrich their Jewish experience.

Chabad on the Vineyard is an independent non-profit and non-partisan organization funded by Island friends and donors. All contributions are raised from and remain on Martha's Vineyard. Don't hesitate to contact us for sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

Chabad is an international Jewish movement with centers in all fifty states and over 110 countries worldwide. As the largest Jewish infrastructure globally, Chabad continues to grow and serve a vast number of communities. Chabad on the Vineyard is an affiliate of Chabad Lubavitch of Cape Cod, directed by Rabbi Yekusiel and Devora Alperowitz.

Chabad on the Vineyard is guided and inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, who transformed Chabad into a global Jewish force and whose leadership, vision, and love are a beacon of light for all humanity.
